Year 5 Overnight Trip

After an overnight trip complete with; self composting toilets, accommodation powered by renewable energy sources, Mr Beddows’ cookery skills, a hike through a snowy wilderness and scientific water studies returned equipped with skills to begin their new Unit of Inquiry! As part of the elite team that made up BIS-NY’s first overnight trip 5CB were joined by the experienced Mrs Ghouse to go to the Black Rock Forest to help with the completion of their unit of water and to use the environmentally friendly lodge as an entry point to start the unit on renewable energy. The forest and lodge provided all we needed and much, much more and the children’s attitude was superb throughout helping to forge links with the centre in the forest for future BISNY classes.
