Since its foundation in 2006 The British International School of New York (BIS-NY) has grown to take its place amongst the leading international schools in New York City with year on year growth and a strong placement record for students transitioning on to middle school in New York or returning to the United Kingdom or a new International School. Children can join BIS-NY at three years old (Nursery) and stay until they have completed our Year 7 (Sixth grade), although the school will be growing to encompass Year 8 in 2010, and Year 9 in 2011.

The mission of The British International School of New York is to serve families in search of an education system that combines the acclaimed content and rigor of the English National curriculum, with the highly-portable, inquiry based philosophy of the International Baccalaureate. From 2009 The British International School of New York gained IB World School status joining the ranks of leading schools globally that share a common goal - a commitment to high quality, challenging, and international education.

The British International School of New York strives to offer all its students the best start in their education by providing a friendly, caring and inspiring academic atmosphere.
