Shehla Ghouse

Shehla GhouseA highly experienced educator with degrees from St Xavier College in Bombay, India,  (English and French), the University of Pune, India (Journalism), and the Open University in the UK (Masters in Primary Education), Mrs. Ghouse will be the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) Coordinator at the British International School of New York.   

Mrs. Ghouse has taught at the United Nations School (Queens Campus) and been the IBPYP and Curriculum Coordinator at the International School of Amsterdam.  Among her extensive international professional development studies and presentations is her on-going involvement with Project Zero at Harvard University.  Project Zero is the highly influential research group that studies how children learn and is led by Professor Howard Gardner, a leading expert on Multiple Intelligences.  

Mrs. Ghouse has been an IB trainer for the Africa/Middle East/Europe region and since moving to New York has been training in North America. She has extensive experience working with both young students and their teachers to develop highly satisfying and successful learning and teaching strategies.
