Rives barksdale
Rives Barksdale decided to pursue a teaching degree after she participated in volunteer programs in Thailand and Nepal teaching English to host country nationals. Upon completion of her degree she taught in the nation’s Head Start Program, working with pre-kindergarten aged children.
After four years of teaching in VA, Ms. Barksdale realized that she missed the excitement of living overseas and working with children of various nationalities. As a result she began a ten year adventure teaching in China, Indonesia, Spain and The Netherlands. She taught Pre-School thru grade Two and as well as teaching Middle School Art.
During her free time Ms. Barksdale works on assemblage art from vintage collectibles. She is also taking an acting class for fun.
