J. Martin McElhone
A highly experienced teacher, administrator, and SCUBA diving instructor, Mr. McElhone is a major asset to the British International School of New York.
Educated at Leeds Grammar School, Cedars Upper School in Leighton Buzzard, and Birmingham University, where he was an honours graduate in English and Primary Education, Mr. McElhone has developed a career built on the philosophy that children should enjoy school and that success breeds success. Among the numerous extra-curricular activities he has directed are school plays, art shows, website, yearbook, football, and water sports. As a member of the senior management team at Jeddah Prep and Grammar School in Saudi Arabia, Mr. McElhone has had wide experience in administrating many tasks concerning the academic and pastoral care of children on a day-to-day basis.
Among his interests he lists computers and technology, most sports, and travel.
